I built a coffee table a few years back and ended up ordering some hairpin legs from hairpinlegs.com. I was always weirdly entertained by how direct their business name was. So, naturally, I wrote some headlines for it. Fun Fact: I bought the wood for the coffee table from a store called Wood World. I haven’t gotten around to writing ads for them yet.

But, Sarah, you’re a CD. Why do you have spec in your book? Because when CWs or ADs ask me if it’s okay to have spec in your book even if you’ve been doing this for X number of years (there should be an entire FishBowl bowl dedicated to this topic), I always say if it’s work you’re proud of that is still relevant and showcases your skills, absolutely. Furniture will always need legs. Even when it’s the future.
